Hundreds of Hamiltonians filled Hamilton City Hall on December 9, 2017 to mourn the death of 19-year-old Yosif Al-Hasnawi who was shoot and killed one week prior on December 2nd when he intervened to assist an elderly man by harassed by two criminals. City of Hamilton Expanding Red Light Cameras to Five New Locations

Hamilton City Councillors on the Public Works Committee voted Monday to add five intersections to the program: Twenty Road at Upper James Street; Cannon Street at James Street; Fennell Avenue at Upper James Street; Wentworth Street at Wilson Street; and Stone Church Road at Upper Gage Avenue. Hamilton Public Works Committee Votes to Hire New Summer Bylaw Officers for Albion Falls

Hamilton City Councillors on the Public Works Committee voted Monday to hire four summer student by-law enforcement officers to enforce a trespassing ban at Albion Falls and other area waterfalls. The hiring following a closing of Albion Falls earlier this year after a spate of rope rescues and one death.
