Ontario marijuana producers hit by minimum pay rate hike

TORONTO – It’s not just coffee chains and restaurants under pressure from Ontario’s minimum wage hike – marijuana companies say the higher provincial pay rate is driving up the cost to produce and sell cannabis products as well. Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Toronto due to snowfall beginning Monday afternoon and ending later this evening. Durham Regional Police say one person is dead and another person was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a double shooting in Oshawa overnight.
