A man in his 40s was transported to hospital following a fire at a residential high-rise in North York.
Toronto paramedics said they responded to the scene around 6 a.m. at 4 Forest Laneway near Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue.
Officials said at least three patients were assessed at the scene.
One male patient was taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries.
Toronto Fire said the fire started on the 20th floor and was knocked down just before 7 a.m.
There is no word yet on the cause of the fire.
