An 11 year old boy was critically injured while crossing the street at Canongate Trail and Purcell Square where he was struck by a vehicle and later died in hospital. PICKERING, Ont. – Three homes have been destroyed after fire ripped through a townhouse complex in Pickering, Ont., early Wednesday. There were no reported injuries in the fire, but about 20 people have reportedly been displaced by the blaze. Global News has learned that the homicide unit is now investigating a new tip from a neighbour who used to live next to alleged serial killer Bruce McArthur and his family in the 1990s in Oshawa. The neighbour, who spoke to Global News anonymously, said that his 14-year-old daughter used to babysit the children at the home in the Thornton and Taunton roads area and that she was forbidden from going into the basement and in the garage.
